Honeywell pioneered the first Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS) over 30 years ago. Today, Honeywell offers Enhanced TAWS protection in EGPWS systems for thousands of aircraft of all types around the world.
EGPWS is already credited with 30 documented aircraft saves, including the first helicopter / obstacle save with the MKXXII.

Vision 1
In-flight Entertainment and Comfort
(courtesy of Universal Avionics)

“Vision-1 is a practical extension of the computer processing, terrain database and display technology available today, and represents a breakthrough in pilot situational awareness,” said Hubert Naimer, founder, President and CEO of Universal. “We can now provide what the pilot normally would see outside the airplane in 3D perspective on a display.”

Vision-1 interfaced with our MFD-640 Multi-Function Display will provide an "Exocentric" view as if from a camera located above, behind and to the right of the aircraft. In a subsequent phase, Vision-1 will also provide an "Egocentric" view, as if from the windshield, displayed on our ADI models 550, 600 and 640, as well as our model 890 PFD/ND scheduled for 2003.

And a simple, yet powerful, interface offers unprecedented clarity and control.
The Airshow 4200 includes native full motion video and audio capability, allowing the airline to use non-encrypted video and sound clips as part of the entertainment configuration. This eliminates the need for the Airshow Random Access Digital Video Reproducer (RADVR).
